The pomegranate is the smallest of the seven, a young tree bearing large fruit. The fruit is exposed raw flesh that would fall apart if not for the pins and stitches keeping it together. The fragile trunk is pinned in what could be either an anachronistic ritual of torture or an attempt at healing.
